ALLAHABAD: Effervescence, the annual cultural festival of III-T Allahabad commenced on Thursday evening with ‘The Motion Picture’ as theme to commemorate a century of Bollywood films.
The four-day festival began with ‘Kai Po Che’, in which students of various colleges bonded over kite flying. It truly was a sight to behold as innumerable kites glided and soared high up in the clouds.

Staying true to its ‘Bollywood’ theme, Effervescence brought along with it an aura of Indian cinema as the whole campus of IIIT-A was dressed up like a movie set.
The much awaited event ‘Treasure Hunt’ allowed a group of three participants to test their knowledge. It brought the college alive with treasure hunters all over the campus.
The Model United Nations (MUN) commenced with an emergency session of the Security Council. The delegates were tested to the limit as they attempted to tackle the issue of the Syrian Civil War. The event saw heated discussions and debates between delegates as they attempted to reach diplomatic solutions to the problems at hand in order to establish world peace.
